Congratulations to Mrs. Bragman and Mrs. Machado who represented #mylms last night at the Stars of the Year Gala!

2nd Grade students dove into an exciting journey through America’s Westward Expansion in our Knowledge 7 unit! They explored key innovations and events like Robert Fulton’s steamboat, the Pony Express, Sequoyah’s Cherokee writing system, the challenging Oregon Trail, the Transcontinental Railroad, and so much more. Throughout the unit, they were secretly building their very own Westward Expansion quilt—adding thoughtful squares that captured what they learned along the way. The final quilts turned out absolutely wonderful and were such a creative, memorable way to tie everything together!

For MLK Jr. Day, Mrs. Sciota's class learned about the importance of peace, love, and kindness. We worked together to create a collaborative poster that represents these values. Students also wrote about why Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is such an important leader and how his message still matters today.

No School – Monday, January 19, 2026
We will be closed as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
